Editing

Mireille has over five years of experience at the heart of UK trade publishing, having worked with leading publishers such as Hachette, Penguin Random House, and Pan Macmillan. She specialises in non-fiction editing and offers freelance editorial services.

As a freelance editor, Mireille collaborates with authors, agents, and publishers to develop outstanding stories. Most recently, she edited Life Lessons from Hip-Hop by Grant Brydon, published by Dorling Kindersley. Mireille also guest-edited the seventh issue of Bad Form, dedicated to Caribbean literature, working alongside Duppy Share on the publication. Her freelance services include both structural and line editing.

In addition to her editorial work, Mireille has collaborated with publishers and award bodies as a guest judge. She is currently serving as a guest judge for the Crime Writers’ Association's ALCS Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction Award. Previously, she has judged awards such as Penguin Random House's Lit in Colour Creative Student Prize and the Dope Reader Club x GUAP's Letter to a Womxn Competition.

Book Proposal and Manuscript Reviewing

Mireille works closely with aspiring writers, providing expert guidance and support at the early stages of book proposal and concept development. She offers tailored development sessions designed to help authors refine their ideas, strengthen their narratives, and craft compelling proposals that resonate with publishers and agents. Talent Scouting

Mireille collaborates with literary agencies, agents, and publishers to source new and exciting talent for their rosters. With a keen eye for emerging voices and compelling narratives, she works closely with her clients to identify authors whose work aligns with their editorial vision and market needs.

She has successfully sourced talent for prominent agencies, including Bergstrom Studio, WME, C&W, and The Good Literary Agency, among others. Mireille’s expertise lies in spotting unique, fresh voices across various genres, ensuring that the right talent is placed with the right agents and publishers.

Translation

Mireille offers expert translation services to publishers and organizations, specializing in translating full manuscripts, partial manuscripts, and other written materials. She works primarily with translations from Spanish (SP), French (FR), and Italian (IT) into English (EN), ensuring that the integrity and cultural nuances of the original work are preserved while making the content accessible to English-speaking audiences.
