Hi, I’m Mireille.

I spent most of my childhood lost in the wonderful worlds of the many books I avidly read. Now, having worked my way up in the publishing industry, I am Editorial Director at Tonic, Bloomsbury where we publish books that give readers a toolkit to navigate everyday life. We publish Sunday Times bestsellers such as Cariad Lloyd and Björn Natthiko Lindeblad, New York Times bestsellers such as Elise Loehnen, and award-winning and high-profile names such as Munroe Bergdorf and Marie Gentles.

When I'm not sharing beautiful books with the world, I also love to write. I’ve written for ten years, and penned pieces for British Vogue, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, PORT, GUAP and Nataal among others.

I am the author of Timelines of Black History, which is all about the legacies, legends and leaders from Black history, from icons such as Josephine Baker and Fela Kuti, to current names such as Mari Copeny and Stormzy. The book has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide. I've also contributed to other children's history books such as Timelines of Everyone, The Black History Book and Migrations.

I also run an editorial and communications consultancy, specialising in editing non-fiction, book proposal writing and manuscript reviewing, talent scouting, sensitivity reading and translation, as well as publicity campaigns, workshops and events, and brand campaigns/partnerships.

I am a proud trustee of And Other Stories and Africa Writes, and a patron of Free Books Campaign - support their work here.
